We are 3 days away from the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Walk with QSM!

Join Qaiser Saghir Mayo (QSM) on Thanksgiving Day as he starts his walk from Toronto to Burlington.

Qaiser and friends will begin their walk on Monday morning at Toronto City Hall at 6:45 AM. Their journey will take approximately 60 kilometers and is estimated to arrive at 6:00PM at the City of Burlington Town Hall located at 426 Brant Street.

CARES Caregiver Support Group (online)
Thursday October 22 – December 3 2026, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
The CARES Caregiver support program gives families a safe place to learn new skills, share, be heard and connect in a way that fosters resiliency.
CARES is a Seven-week group program designed to target the social, emotional, and psychological challenges that can arise among caregivers of children with complex needs. We help caregivers care for themselves because the more they show up for themselves, the more they can show their loved ones the way.

What You Will Learn:
• Caregivers will work on different coping strategies to manage day-to-day stress; practice taking a more self-compassionate perspective towards their challenges and learn tips for problem-solving and assertive communication.

4th Annual Thanksgiving Walk

Join Qaiser Saghir Mayor (QSM) on Monday, October 12th, as he begins his walk from Toronto to Burlington - a distance of approximately 60 kilometers in support of Autism Ontario.

Qaiser and friends will begin their walk at Toronto City Hall at 6:45 AM and reach their final destination, the courtyard at the City of Burlington Town Hall at 426 Brant Street, at 6:00 PM.

A member of our autism community has submitted his Lego design for a Bob's Burgers Lego Set (15 detailed pages). If he gets enough support, the design will be considered for actual development.

He passed the first hurdle of 1k and currently has 2,593 supporters - needs to reach 5k to make the next hurdle.

You need a Lego account, but it's easy and free to make. Only takes a few minutes to create an account and click support idea.

Help Build Autism Understanding at Your School

Autism Ontario offers free, bilingual presentations for grades 1-3 and grades 4-8 that help students learn about autism, inclusion, and respecting differences. Led by presenters with lived and professional experience, these 20-30 minute sessions highlight how autism can affect how someone communicates, plays, and experiences the world. These presentations also include our "Let's Talk About Autism: Educator Toolkit" to help you continue conversations about inclusion and belonging in your classroom.

Registration is open for our Children's Acting Program!

Join Autism Ontario and Sparx Studio for an empowering six-week acting program.

Dates: Saturdays October 3rd , NO CLASS OCT 10th, 17th, 24th , 31st (kids can dress up for Halloween) , November 7th , 14th.

Time: 12:45pm – 2pm
Location: 356 Windermere Ave, Toronto, ON M6S 3L1
Cost: $25 per child.

Designed to help children independently deal with common life situations in a confident, safe and healthy manner. Kids will also explore the difference between teasing and bullying, what a bystander is, and exploring why bullies act the way they do.
