Back to School with Confidence: Supporting Autistic Students Through Transitions
August 20, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Back-to-school transitions can bring excitement, uncertainty, and many questions for autistic students and their families.

• Ways to prepare for the school year, including routines and new environments
• How to help students communicate their strengths, interests, and support needs
• Tips on building relationships with teachers through shared understanding and realistic expectations
• How to create learning environments where autistic students feel understood, valued, and supported
• Neuro-affirming strategies that support regulation, downtime, homework, and recovery after the school day
