Go Electric! - Emergency Action Plan
The Stop Dirty Diesel Trains group is working to stop Metrolinx from moving forward with their plans to purchase dirty diesel trains on February 6, 2011. Our Emergency Action Plan is focused on:
- quickly raising greater awareness of this issue in the GTA
- mobilizing citizens to contact Premier McGuinty, Mayor Ford and MPPs
- mobilizing citizens to voluntee
r for a number of Emergency Action
- mobilizing citizens to participate in January 26, 2010 demonstration
HOW YOU CAN HELP.
1. Deadline to order the ad is January 14th. Our secondary goal is to raise an additional $10,000 to place a full page ad in the Toronto Star ad that will reach 608,000 Saturday readers. *IMPORTANT: We are not a registered non-profit and as such cannot provide tax receipts. The funds collected will be used to buy as many full page newspaper ads as possible in key GTA publications. Any remaining dollars will go to fund out of pocket expenses related to the Jan. 26, 2011 demonstration. We will make public the total monies raised through February 6, 2011 and detail all related expenditures.
