Meet the NAMUN 2027 Co-Director of Communications & Design, Curtis Wong!

Curtis is going into his third year of his specialist at Rotman but spends his nights moonlighting for NAMUN. Having partook in MUN during high school, he has since gravitated towards staffing where his chaos can be conjured for good. This is his third year at NAMUN, upgrading from the booster seat to now wanting to go until the wheels fall off (before anyone asks: he does have his drivers license).

When not wired in, you might catch him alt-tabbing to play a game or shuffling his playlist that only has 10 tracks. Like the rest of us, he plays the part of victim of being a fan of Toronto's sports teams yet his optimism is always calling for the playoffs.

Moksha is a fourth-year student with a major in English and minor in Book & Media Studies and Writing & Rhetoric. Participating in MUN since grade 9, she is now entering her fourth year of NAMUN, yet again as a part of C&D.

When not on Canva, Moksha can be found reading, cooking, or learning a new arts & crafts hobby which will cost her entire pay check. She loves odd coffee flavour combinations, grocery stores, football, and generic music.

Meet NAMUN 2027's Director of Corporate Relations, Youni Choi!

Youni is a fourth-year student double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Having been involved in Model United Nations since middle school, MUN has truly sparked her passion for diplomacy, collaborative leadership, and building meaningful connections. Over the years, she has participated in conferences as both a delegate and a secretariat member—experiences that have strengthened her appreciation for the MUN community and the opportunities it creates. She is thrilled to return as the Director of Corporate Relations for NAMUN 2027 and looks forward to building new partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, and working alongside an incredible team to make this year’s conference the best one yet.

Outside of academics, Youni enjoys cheering on her favorite baseball team, hitting the golf course, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also loves discovering new cafés, traveling whenever she gets the chance, and is always happy to chat about sports, international affairs, or the best cafés and restaurants on her list!

Meet your NAMUN 2027 Co-Director of Procedures & Training, Riviera Nwakudu!

Riviera is a second year studying International Relations, Environmental Ethics, and French. She’s super excited to be joining the wonderful team at NAMUN for the second year in a row.

Beyond being active in the MUN circle, she’s usually found walking her camera around Toronto, working on puzzles and legos, or biking on the Great Lakes trail. Most of all, she’s super excited to meet everyone at this year’s iteration!

Meet your NAMUN 2027 Co-Director of Procedures & Training, Oafe Cheung!

Oafe is a second year student studying Sociology and Philosophy at UofT, and is so excited to be a part of NAMUN’s team this year! Since beginning her MUN journey in 10th grade as a terrified crisis delegate, she has since been involved in conferences across both the high school and university circuit as a delegate and staffer.

Outside of MUN, you’ll likely find her taking power naps in-between classes, dyeing her hair new colours, or trying the newest Red Bull flavour. She’s looking forward to another exciting and memorable iteration of NAMUN!

Meet NAMUN 2027's Director of Equity, Amani Altaf!

Amani is a fourth year student double majoring in Economics and Political Science. She joined MUN for the first time as a GA Chair in her first her of uni, and continued in Equity roles at NAMUN to make sure the conference is the most inclusive and fun it can be for all delegates.

When she's not crying over her Econ grades, Amani can be found stress-baking, running, or reading the latest murder mystery out there.

Meet your NAMUN 2027 Co-Director of Crisis Committees, Wajid Zaman!

Wajid is going into his second year of his master’s global affairs at the Munk School and is your Co-Head of Crisis Committees. He's been a delegate since Grade 10, attending many conferences like NMUN in New York, and has planned conferences at both uOttawa and U of T. At NAMUN, he is most looking forward to fun, memorable crisis committees that allow delegates to learn about highly relevant issues in today’s world.

Outside of MUN, Wajid is interested in international security and economics and currently works in the field. In his free time, he likes to read pretty much any Wikipedia article and books on history, politics, and philosophy, completing his travel bucket list, and spending time outdoors as long as it's not winter.

Joseph is a fourth year Engineering Science Student at U of T! He will be the Co-director of Crisis. This is his fourth year with NAMUN and he hopes to make the 2027 iteration the engaging, fun, and exhilarating experience NAMUN has always been.

Outside of MUN, you can find him cramming assignments in Bahen, eating his way through Chinatown, or on the lake.
