We mobilize communities to help working, lower-income families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. With the help of volunteers, donors, and community partners we provide a solid foundation for better, healthier lives for families in the GTA. In support of our homebuilding activity, we operate a network of social enterprise home improvement stores called Ha

bitat ReStore. Our 12 locations across the GTA procure and sell new and used donated home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials. Proceeds from sales help cover the cost to build homes, and the items we collect and sell extends the value of household items eliminating unnecessary waste. We are a local organization with a global vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

🏡 Building more than homes. Building opportunities in Brampton.

Construction continues to move forward at Countryside, Habitat for Humanity GTA’s newest affordable homeownership community in Brampton.

Located at 80 Zamek Street, this community will provide 15 stacked townhomesfor families who dream of owning a home but have been priced out of today's market.

Through Habitat GTA's affordable homeownership program, families can access:

✅ $0 down payment
✅ Monthly payments geared to income
✅ A pathway to long-term housing stability
✅ The opportunity to build equity and a brighter future

This project would not be possible without the support of our partners and community leaders. We would like to thank the City of Brampton and Patrick Brown for their continued commitment to creating affordable housing opportunities for local families.

Every wall being framed and every home taking shape brings us one step closer to welcoming families into a place they can truly call home.

We are reaching major milestones at our VuPoint community in Pickering! This week Habitat GTA celebrated the start of construction of the second tower of the building. This accomplishment means that we are moving closer to the finish line – and closer to having 27 families move into these beautiful new homes. This project is in partnership with Tribute Communities, and will provide 27 brand new affordable condos in the heart of Pickering. Together, we're not just building homes, we're building possibilities.

Earlier this month, our CEO Ene Underwood had the honour of leading the groundbreaking of our future Whitby community.

This milestone marks the beginning of something lasting, with more than 40 homes that will one day welcome families in Whitby.

Thank you to the Government of Canada, CMHC, Whitby Member of Parliament Ryan Turnbull, Mayor Elizabeth Roy, the Whitby Housing Action Committee, and all of the partners who helped make this day possible.

Riley's One Cookie at a Time bake sale was a huge success! The chair of our Board of Directors Brooks Barnett presented Riley with a hard hat and a certificate for excellence in fundraising for his amazing efforts in raising money for Habitat GTA. CBC News also dropped by to speak to Riley about his hard work, and he was able to speak about what inspired him to start One Cookie at a Time. He has now raised over $5,000 for Habitat GTA. which is double of his original goal.
