Remembering the 20th Anniversary of the Sencholai Genocidal Massacre
An act of genocide committed by the Sri Lankan state against the Tamil people in the island of Sri Lanka.
On August 14, 2006, the Sri Lankan state deliberately unleashed sixteen bombs from four Sri Lankan Air Force jets on the Sencholai Children's Home compound at Vallipunam in Mullaiththeevu, killing 53 schoolgirls and 3 teachers and injuring more than 100 others.
Twenty years later, the Tamil people are still awaiting international accountability and meaningful remedial justice for Tamil Genocide, as none of the perpetrators of the Sencholai Genocidal Massacre or other genocidal acts committed by the Sri Lankan state against the Tamil people since 1948 in the island of Sri Lanka have been held accountable.
We Remember…We Honour…
We Demand International Accountability and Meaningful Remedial Justice for Tamil Genocide
