An exciting event is about to transform Neuroblastoma Research at SickKids, and we need your help!
November 27th, 2012 - the day we were admitted into SickKids Hospital. That week, we were delivered the words - "stage 4 high-risk cancer", "Neuroblastoma" and "Jake" all in one sentence. We began our journey - from emergency radiation, chemotherapy, MIBG scans, CT scans, surgeries, stem cell transplant, immunotherapy study, and hospital visits that need endless fingers to count.
Here are a couple of things that we have learned on Jake’s journey:
1. Neuroblastoma (which most people have never even heard of) is one of the most brutal and common causes of death by disease in children.
2. The support of family, friends, and community is more healing and appreciated than you can ever know.
