Burma Scholar Pursuing education as the key to advancing peace, tolerance, diversity, democratic values in Burma.

Burma Scholar was founded by Journalist Wa Lone, and Burmese academics & activists currently residing in Canada. The organization was formed following the 2021 military coup that left millions of young people in Burma without a clear and positive future. The founders established this organization with the goal of bridging these students with educational opportunities.
