We're taking a trip down memory lane today, looking back on an unforgettable conference and festival in Victoria, BC! Kicking things off are photos from the first day – the excitement of arrivals, reunions with colleagues and friends, an inspiring opening concert, and a Kitchen Party (sponsored by the Choral Canada Student Chapter) that set the stage for four incredible days of learning, singing, and connection.

The Anacrusis Editorial Committee is seeking one Reviews Editor and two Members-at-Large to join the team behind Choral Canada’s official journal, Anacrusis. These volunteer positions offer an opportunity to contribute to the publication’s content, support writers and reviewers, and help amplify diverse voices from across the group singing community.

Choral Canada is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ruth Watson Henderson, one of the defining voices in Canadian choral music. A pianist, organist, and prolific composer, her music has been performed by ensembles across Canada and internationally. Her collaborations with the Festival Singers of Canada and the Toronto Children's Chorus produced works that remain cornerstones of the Canadian choral repertoire. She was, without a doubt, a national treasure.

We extend our sincere condolences to her family and to all in the broader choral and group singing community who were fortunate to know, perform, or be moved by her music.

Canada Choral est profondément attristée d’apprendre le décès de Ruth Watson Henderson, l’une des figures marquantes de la musique chorale canadienne. Pianiste, organiste et compositrice prolifique, sa musique a été interprétée par des ensembles à travers le Canada et sur la scène internationale. Ses collaborations avec les Festival Singers of Canada et le Toronto Children's Chorus ont donné naissance à des œuvres qui demeurent des piliers du répertoire choral canadien. Elle était, sans aucun doute, un véritable trésor national.
