Surgical services are at the heart of St. Joe’s - serving more than 500,000 people in Toronto’s west end, with nearly 28,000 procedures performed every year across specialties including cancer, orthopaedic, and bariatric surgery.

The new Patient Care Tower will expand surgical capacity from 10 to 23 operating rooms, each designed for leading-edge robotic and minimally invasive technology. That means shorter wait times, modernized spaces, and advanced, compassionate care closer to home.

💿 NOW SPINNING: The Emergency Department

St. Joe’s operates one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the GTA, serving close to 100,000 patients every year. But growing demand continues to strain the space beyond capacity.

The new Patient Care Tower will deliver 80,000 sq. ft. of modern emergency space with 94 treatment spaces, designed to serve up to 115,000 patients annually. That means a revitalized Kids’ Zone, dedicated senior-friendly care areas, fully enclosed treatment spaces, and room to grow.
