🌟As we wrap up Police Week, we are proud to feature Deputy Chief Kevin McCloskey of York Regional Police.

For Kevin, the Torch Run goes beyond the field of play. It is a celebration of courage and community.

"Special Olympics is about far more than sport; it is about courage, inclusion and the incredible spirit these athletes bring to every event. Their determination and joy are truly inspiring, and it is an honour to stand beside them and celebrate all they achieve."

From May 10 to 16, we are celebrating the incredible Law Enforcement members who champion inclusion across Ontario. We are kicking things off with Inspector Kim Manuel from the St. Thomas Police Service.

For Kim, supporting LETR is all about connection and compassion: ""Being involved in LETR means standing alongside athletes, families, and our community in support of inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for all. It is a reminder that policing is about connection, compassion, and showing up for something bigger than ourselves.""

Thank you for showing up for our athletes, Kim! 💙
