UFCW Canada is proud to support the release of a groundbreaking national report calling for enforceable housing standards for migrant agricultural workers in Canada. Backed by decades of research and advocacy, this report sets out bold, consensus-based recommendations to end the substandard, unsafe, and undignified housing conditions too many workers still face. As part of a just and lasting solution, UFCW Canada also calls for a transition to broader-based and sectoral bargaining models—so workers can have a real voice across the entire agri-food industry.

It’s time to raise the bar. Every worker deserves a safe, private, and healthy place to call home.
