📣Paid opportunity for high school students ($50 for 45 minutes)

We are looking to interview 4-5 high school students that identify as a worn or non-binary in Canada early next week to validate some of our program design ideas. This is an informal virtual chat for 45 minutes scheduled April 17-18. No preparation needed, just come as you are: As a thank you, we will compensate for your invaluable time and thoughts with a $50 honorarium.

At HER CODE CAMP, we understand how learning to code can be difficult, especially when there is no sense of belonging and a lack of representation in technology. That is why one of our main principles since being founded in 2018 is to host a variety of programs targeted to high school students who identify as a woman and/or non-binary (including cis and trans women) in Canada. We are offering our Beginner Coding Camp next month, where you’ll have the opportunity to use your coding skills towards cool and exciting applications.

Details of the event:

- Virtual week-long event Tuesday, March 15, 7-9 PM EST - Tuesday, March 22, 7-9 PM EST
- Workshops can be done at your own pace offline
- Live coding sessions with instructors
- The opening campfire event is on March 15th & the closing campfire event is on March 22nd
- Meet other cool people who are interested in learning how to code too!
- Anyone with access to a computer and the internet can participate!
- No prior experience is necessary.
