Punjab New Capital: New Taxila
Our Moment
Punjab stands at a decisive moment in its history. Rapid population growth, administrative overload, regional imbalance, and urban congestion have weakened governance and deepened inequality. Incremental reforms are no longer enough. Punjab needs structural renewal.
That renewal begins with a new capital.
Why a New Capital
For decades, political and administrative power has been concentrated in one corner of the province. This over-centralization has:
• strained institutions,
• distorted development priorities,
• marginalized large regions of Punjab,
• and burdened Lahore beyond sustainability.
A new capital is not a luxury—it is a necessity for efficient governance, regional balance, and long-term stability. Farrukh Sami I hear you. I respect your feelings.
But I will not stay silent anymore.
Lahore is no longer the heart of Punjab—
it has become the graveyard of the Punjabi language.
And the rest of Punjab?
A battlefield where our identity, culture, and language are under attack.
Punjab’s unity has been broken—
not by outsiders alone, but by those sitting in Takht Lahore:
the establishment, the so-called intelligentsia, and the ruling elite.
Today, new divisions are being pushed—
Seraiki. Pothohari. Punjabi.
Divide and weaken. Fragment and control.
The PML-N power structure in Lahore is not protecting Punjab—
it is dismantling it.
Let me say this clearly:
Punjab is NOT safe in the hands of Takht Lahore.
So I take a stand.
➡️ Move the capital.
➡️ Reclaim the center.
➡️ Restore Punjab’s strength.
From Lahore to the heartland—
Sahiwal–Pakpattan.
A new vision. A new beginning.
A new capital:
🔥 NEW TAXILA 🔥
Lahore is history.
Punjab is the future.
We will not let our language die.
We will not let our culture fade.
We will not let our identity be erased.
Enough is enough.
I am Punjabi.
This is my land.
This is my voice.
Why New Taxila
The name New Taxila is a conscious civilizational choice.
Ancient Taxila was one of the world’s earliest centers of higher learning, governance, and global exchange. It produced scholars, statesmen, and rulers who shaped Punjab and influenced the wider subcontinent. Taxila symbolized knowledge, pluralism, and leadership.
New Taxila: A Beacon of Punjab's Renaissance and Enduring Heritage
The naming of our new capital, New Taxila, is a deliberate act, a profound declaration of Punjab's resurgence and a vibrant testament to our rich heritage. It is a name chosen to evoke the spirit of an ancient icon, a powerful symbol of Punjab's ancestral identity that once stood as a beacon of knowledge and influence.
For it was in ancient Taxila that the world's first university flourished, drawing scholars and minds from across the globe. From this hallowed ground, great rulers, profound philosophers, and visionary statesmen emerged, individuals who not only shaped this region but also united Punjab and, indeed, ruled vast swathes of India. Their legacy is woven into the very fabric of our civilization.
Taxila represents the unbroken continuity of Punjabi civilization, a magnificent thread stretching from the ancient lands of Sapta Sindhu, through the pioneering settlements of Harappa, to the vibrant centers of Taxila, Lahore, and Multan, all nourished by the mighty Indus River. It is a living connection to our deep historical roots.
By christening our new capital "New Taxila," we are forging a powerful link between our glorious ancient past and our dynamic present and future. We aim to foster a collective understanding and pride in this connection, persuading all that New Taxila is not just a name, but a symbol of the ancient Punjab and the enduring spirit of Punjabi civilization, guiding us forward.
By naming the new capital New Taxila, we reclaim Punjab’s intellectual heritage and affirm our identity as a civilization rooted in learning and statecraft.
Civilizational Continuity
Punjabi civilization flows unbroken:
from Sapta Sindhu
to Harappa
to Taxila, Multan, and Lahore
—sustained by the Indus.
New Taxila is not nostalgia. It is civilizational confidence—a bridge between our ancient wisdom and our future aspirations.
The Vision
New Taxila will be:
• a planned, green, and inclusive capital,
• designed with modern infrastructure and digital governance,
• resilient to environmental, security, and future challenges,
• free from unplanned sprawl and elite capture,
• built to serve all Punjabis, not a privileged few.
It will be a capital of institutions, accountability, and public service.
The Purpose
New Taxila will:
• decentralize power,
• strengthen provincial governance,
• promote equitable regional development,
• reduce pressure on existing mega-cities,
• and prepare Punjab for the 21st century.
Our Commitment
This movement is not against any city, region, or people. It is for Punjab—for fairness, dignity, and opportunity.
