🏀 Volunteers Needed – Help Empower Youth Through Sport! 🏀

WoodGreen's AEE Sports & Recreation Program is looking for passionate volunteers to support youth through sports, recreation, mentorship, and positive community engagement.

Volunteer Opportunities Available:

✅ Youth Sports Program Volunteer
-Support sports and recreation activities for youth
-Assist with warm-ups, drills, and game facilitation
-Encourage participation, teamwork, and confidence-building

✅ Assistant Facilitator Volunteer
-Help staff and lead facilitators deliver engaging sports programming
-Assist with activity setup, equipment organization, and participant support
-Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment

✅ Sport Referee / Game Official Volunteer
-Officiate games and recreational sports activities
-Promote fair play, sportsmanship, and safety
-Help participants learn the rules and enjoy the game experience

Make a positive impact while gaining valuable leadership, communication, and recreation experience.

🎨 Volunteer Opportunity: Art Facilitator Volunteer with WoodGreen
Are you passionate about art, wellness, and community connection?

WoodGreen is looking for an Art Facilitator Volunteer to support our Health Promotion Program, which provides accessible, culturally responsive wellness programming for newcomers in Toronto.
In this role, volunteers will facilitate art-based wellness activities that encourage creative expression, mindfulness, stress reduction, emotional well-being, and social connection.

Volunteer commitment:
🗓 6 months, starting September 2026
⏰ 2-3 hours per week
📍 Locations: 1491 Danforth Ave, 260 Wellesley Ave, and 2930 Lakeshore Blvd West

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in visual arts, art facilitation, creative wellness, community arts, or a related field. Experience working with diverse communities, including newcomers, immigrants, and refugees, is an asset.

Volunteers will help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where participants can explore self-expression and build community through art.
✅ Screening includes an online application, resume, interview, Vulnerable Sector Screening, and two references.
