Hellenic Genocide Committee - Επιτροπή Ελληνικής Γενοκτονίας

The mandate of the Committee shall be as follows:
 To coordinate with the recognized provincial organizations,
regional councils of the Congress and other organizations with
similar aims the implementation of the recognition of Hellenic
Genocide by Canadian and other governments and institutions.
 To advocate, communicate and make representations to elected
representatives, executive and legisla

tive bodies and other
governmental entities regarding the untold story of the Hellenic
Genocide and to seek their support for the recognition of the
Hellenic Genocide before executive and legislative bodies;
 To advance awareness and understanding of the most tragic event
in modern Hellenic history;
 To interact with government educational authorities and promote
the inclusion and teaching of the Hellenic Genocide within courses
such as “Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity” or other related
courses offered within the educational authorities;
 To expand on the current communications and awareness plans,
including organize public discussions, conferences and lectures on
the Hellenic Genocide.
 To carry out such other functions that are necessary to fulfil its
mandate or as assigned by the National Council.
