Adelynn Taylor, 7, marked the end of leukemia treatment by ringing the hospital bell and cutting off her dad’s bracelet — which he had worn since the beginning of her cancer journey.

After 20 years of community driven fundraising, countless acts of generosity and an incredible shared commitment to making a difference, Imagine a Cure for Leukemia is preparing to make it’s final donation.

What began as a way to celebrate my mom, Miriam Segal’s successful Leukemia treatment grew into something I could have never anticipated. After she passed in 2007 the charity became a meaningful way to honour her memory and a special way for my children to remember her. It empowered volunteers and brought our community together and I am proud to say we have donated 1.58 million dollars to support research. 

As we prepare to make our final donation, I am reaching out to you-our incredible community one last time to join Games of Hope on October 25th (click link 🔗 in bio for event details). Your participation along with your Mahjong, Canasta + Rummy Q groups would mean so much to me.

Thank you for 20 years of kindness and support. Your contributions have truly changed lives.

*each group must bring their own game*

Each table seats a maximum of 4 players

All players must register individually to receive their own fundraising page

When you register please indicate who you are playing with (if applicable) and which game you will be playing

Select the game you would like to play and we will do our best to match you with a group

As a token of our appreciation, all participants will receive a gift bag and enjoy refreshments throughout the event.

20 years ago today was the first Imagine Event. Thank you to every volunteer, donor and friend who joined us that night. 500 people attended and we raised $80,000. So much gratitude for that event as it motivated us to continue fundraising. Save the date October 25th 2-5pm for our 20th year celebration
