Careers do not grow in isolation.

They grow through people who share knowledge, open doors, offer encouragement and create opportunities.

That is why community matters to the CPRS Foundation.

Students, practitioners, volunteers, donors and supporters all play a role in strengthening the communications profession.

Thank you for being part of that community 🌐.

PR is sometimes described as getting attention. But strong public relations is about much more.
It is about understanding audiences.

It is about listening.
It is about building trust.
It is about helping people understand important information.

As the profession changes, those foundations still matter 💬.

AI and new technology are changing how communicators work.

But technology cannot replace the need to understand people.

PR still depends on judgment, empathy, listening, context and trust.

The future may bring new tools.

The human side of communication remains just as important. 🤝

Today is International Literacy Day.

Literacy is about more than reading and writing.

It helps people understand information, ask questions and participate in their communities.

That matters in public relations.

Communicators have a responsibility to make information clear, useful and accessible.

As the profession evolves, strong communication skills will remain essential 📖.

A strong profession needs opportunities for the people who are preparing to join it.

CPRS Foundation scholarships help support students pursuing education in communications and public relations.

That support can make it easier for students to focus on learning, building skills and preparing for their future careers.

When we support students, we support the future of our profession.

The future of public relations is already taking shape.

New technology. New platforms. New expectations from the public.

But one thing remains at the centre: people.

This month, we’re exploring what the future of PR could look like and how education, connection and support can help prepare the next generation of communicators.

Follow along throughout September 🔭.

🎉 As we wrap up August, we’re reflecting on what empowerment means to our community.

This month, we celebrated opportunity, mentorship, lifelong learning, and the people who help others grow.

Thank you for being part of those conversations and for supporting a stronger communications profession.

Let’s keep creating opportunities, building connections, and empowering one another in the months ahead: https://tinyurl.com/mryxe2a4

🌱 Empowerment doesn’t end with one achievement.
It’s an ongoing journey of learning, connecting, knowledge sharing, and helping others succeed.

Every time we encourage someone else, we strengthen our profession together.

How will you help empower someone this week?
