According to Imam al-Muqri’iin’, al-Hafiz, Imam Ibn al-Jazari in his work ‘Arf al-Ta‘rif bil-Mawlid al-Sharif’, the blessed month of Rabiul Awwal in Islam possesses virtues and merits that surpass all other months. It is called Rabi‘ (meaning “spring”), and the Prophet ﷺ was born in it. Imam Ibn al-Jazari explains the expression “Rabi‘ in Rabi‘ in Rabi‘” to emphasize that the Prophet’s ﷺ birth brought an extraordinary blessing and spiritual renewal to this sacred month.
لِهَذَا الشَّهْرِ فِي الإِسْلَامِ فَضْلٌ وَأَفْضَالٌ يَفُوقُ عَلَى الجَمِيعِ
سَمَّاهُ وَهُوَ وَالمَوْلُودُ فِيهِ رَبِيعٌ فِي رَبِيعٍ فِي رَبِيعِ

Imam al-Muqri’iin’ al-Hafiz, Imam Ibn al-Jazari, in his book ‘Arf al-Ta’rif bil-Mawlid al-Sharif, writes:
“The blessed birth of the Prophet ﷺ took place in al-Shi‘b (the canyon), a location well-known through numerous reports transmitted by the inhabitants of Makkah. Each year, the people of Makkah would gather at this site on the day corresponding to his birth, celebrating it with greater enthusiasm than even the day of Eid. This practice has persisted to the present day. I personally visited the birthplace and sought blessings there during my Hajj in 792 AH, and witnessed a remarkable blessing at the site. I later revisited the location in 823 AH while residing nearby. At that time, the structure was in ruins, so I undertook its restoration. During this period, students recited my work, al-Ta’rif bil-Mawlid al-Sharif, in my presence. Countless people heard the reading, and the day was observed with great reverence.”

Alhamdulillah, what a beautiful day at the Miftahul Quran Academy graduation ceremony! Our beloved Principal, Qari Abdul Rahman Ingar, led another heartfelt Jalsa where five of our dear students completed their Hifz of the Holy Qur’an. 📖💚

The gathering was full of noor and barakah, with inspiring reminders shared by our respected scholars:

✨ Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain

Their words touched the hearts of the graduates, students, and families, reminding us all of the honour and responsibility of the Holy Qur’an.

May Allah Almighty bless our new Huffaz, their parents, and teacher, and make them shining examples of the Holy Qur’an in action. 🤲🌿
