On August 21, the Ukrainian Catholic University hosted an exhibition on the subject of innovative technologies in military psychology. The event took place at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Center. During the exhibition, information was presented on modern methods of psychological support for servicemen, technologies for psychological relief, and approaches to preserving and strengthening mental health.

UCU presents a unique for Ukraine, a model in which a university exists and grows only by means of donations from people of good will. It is a fine example of how a bottom up initiative can push big projects forward. As of today, 20 000 donors from all over the world support UCU. By increasing the number of benefactors of UCU, we will ensure the university’s financial stability and increase the further effective development of all educational programs and projects. From August 12-13, the rectors of universities participating in the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities met in Chernivtsi. For two days, they, together with the Alliance management team, focused on discussing the results of the association's work and its further development.

From July 8-10, Ukrainian Catholic University hosted the first such large-scale conference in many years, “Ukraine in the World.” It assembled more than 210 in-person participants and more than 40 online. These were scholars and representatives of universities and academic centers from 38 countries. This is the first time in many years that such a large-scale event in Ukraine gathered researchers of Ukrainian Studies from various corners of the world.

At Ukrainian Catholic University, students are encouraged to transform ideas into solutions that can create meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

UCU students Olena Azarova and Anna Monastyrska, developed a healthcare startup, through the Ideas Center at UCU. Their Patient Relationship Management platform is designed to improve communication between patients and rehabilitation specialists.

Following their successful project pitch, Olena and Anna earned the opportunity to participate in a two-week entrepreneurship program at the University of Notre Dame and received $25,000 in Amazon Web Services credits to support the continued development of their innovation.

Through opportunities like the IdeasLab program, UCU equips students with the skills, mentorship, and global connections needed to become entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers who contribute to Ukraine’s future and the global economy.

The Ukrainian Catholic University is establishing the Center of Excellence for Formal Methods and Verification—a new academic and applied research hub that will combine cutting-edge research, education of the next generation of specialists, and collaboration with the technology industry. The Center will advance formal methods and their applications in mathematics, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
