We have come dangerously close to accepting the homeless situation as a problem that we just can't solve.

I want to stress that I know going into this that we at Kairos & Chronos cannot achieve it by ourselves; we need the support of the business community as well as the non-profit sector. I'd like you to think today about how you're going to fit into this nationwide effort.
What role you're going to play in addressing this serious problem.

Ultimately, we will be defined as a people by how we treat those least able to take care of themselves, and I don't want us to be found lacking.

We tell people that we are different from other people, that we are different from other places because of our spirit, and the way we care for each other. This is the time to prove it. This will be one of the toughest issues we have ever faced and I know, that working together, we are certainly up to this challenge."

"Street child" refers to a child who lives and works on the street.

800 million people in the country live in poverty, many of them migrating to big cities in search of livelihoods and often ending up on the streets. There are 18 million street children in India, the largest number of any country in the world, with 11 million being urban.

People like us see the problem,
We feel their pain,
& we move on with our lives, but their struggle stays.

Were you ever in a near death situation?

Were you ever that hungry as a child that you would die?

Do you know what it feels like to live everyday like this ?

Not so Fun Fact: 18,000 children under age five dies daily of hunger.

Who do you blame if you were born in this situation? Humans? God? Life?

For them, you are God. They pray for the day when someone like you come and feed them.

Street children? Homelessness?
A major issue in the world, especially in developing nations.

These are Children's who stay on pavements, roadsides, railway platforms, staircases, temples, in pipes at construction zone. They have little or no access to food, shelter, medical, or educational resources.

A child under 10 dies every 5 seconds from hunger. That is 6.4 million children last year and its growing.

We need to act now. Your decision makes the difference. Your effort is needed. You have the power to change their lives forever.

They didnt choose where they will be born. Neither did we... Like me, there are very few lucky people who had someone called Parents.

When i look back and hear the word MOM or DAD or Parents... First thing that comes to my mind is: Greatful for everything they have done or tried to do.

What about the children living daily on the streets "have" to be greatful ?

Who will they think about If /when they grow older ?

The answer is Nobody. Do you know why?Because every 5 seconds a child dies in India due to hunger. They might have made it through this day if they had eaten just enough.

You have the power over your decisions. Your decisions can now change someone's life forever. You choose.
