Sing along to our 50th!

As we count down to our 50th Anniversary in November 2027, we’re turning up the volume on five decades of friendship, community, memories, and the unmistakable UP spirit.

Introducing the UP Alumni Association of Toronto 50th Anniversary theme song!

Consider this your official invitation to listen, learn it, love it, and play it often enough that by gala night, nobody needs to look at the lyrics.😊

In the car. While cooking. On your morning walk. At the next alumni gathering. We’re not picky. 😉

Because when hundreds of UP alumni and friends come together to celebrate 50 years, we want this song to belong to all of us — and we want the room singing along.

🎧 Press play. Turn it up. Learn the words.
🎤 November 2027: we sing it together.

Here’s to 50 years of UPAA Toronto and to the voices, stories, and friendships that will carry us into the next 50.

Statement of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Toronto (UPAAT)

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Toronto (UPAAT) expresses its deep concern and strongest protest over the alarming reports of corruption and mismanagement surrounding flood control projects in the Philippines.

These anomalies not only squander scarce public resources but also endanger the safety, dignity, and well-being of countless Filipinos who continue to suffer from preventable flooding. Such acts betray the public trust, undermine national progress, and perpetuate cycles of hardship and vulnerability among our people.

As an organization firmly committed to supporting national development, UPAAT unequivocally condemns the systemic abuse of public funds and authority.

We therefore join the urgent call for transparency, accountability, and justice. All individuals involved—whether government officials or private contractors—must be investigated and held fully accountable under the law.

The Filipino people must see that corruption will never be tolerated, and that consequences are real, firm, and uncompromising. Only through genuine accountability can we begin to restore faith in public institutions, safeguard vital resources, and move toward the just, resilient, and sustainable development that our nation deserves.
