Join us for our upcoming 14-week Foundations in Reading Qur'an workshop for children. 🎉

Ibn Mas'ood (radhiyAllahu 'anhu) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (sallAllahu 'alayhi wasallam) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter." [Tirmidhi]

The earlier we can teach children to read, the earlier they start collecting those rewards! Our online workshop will guide students step-by-step from pronouncing and recognizing single Arabic letters all the way to being able to recite one ayah with fluency.

Dates: Every Thursday 5:30-6:30 PM, starting September 14th, 2023.

🙌 … cannot read Qur'an fluently.
🙌 … wants to learn to read with correct pronunciation and tajwid from the start.
🙌 … prefers to learn in a more fun, modern way with a focus on nurturing a growth-mindset and developing a positive relationship with reading Qur'an.
🙌 … wants to take their next step toward a stronger connection with the Words of Allah.

A certificate will be presented at the end of this course as long as all of the qualifiers have been met. Reading practice exercises and games will be given as homework in order to ensure progress week to week.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to recite a line or ayah with fluency, and will be ready to join our Intro to Tajwid workshop to further perfect their recitation.

Join us for our upcoming 14-week Intro to Tajwid Jr. Edition workshop for children. 🎉
We have learned to read Qur'an and we may have memorized a few short surahs, but do we recite them with the rules of tajwid? It's very important to correct tajwid early, as the longer a person recites a surah incorrectly the harder it is to correct old habits. In this online workshop, we will focus on a different surah each week and learn to recite with correct tajwid. As this is a course for children, not all tajwid rules will be taught in detail, but we will focus instead on application of the rules. If you are interested in learning the rules of tajwid in thorough detail, watch for youth (13-18) or adults (18+) version of this workshop.
Dates: Every Thursday 6:30-7:30 PM, starting September 14th, 2023.

Join us for our upcoming 14-week Intro to Tajwid Youth Edition workshop for pre-teens and teens.🎉

We have learned to read Qur'an and we may have memorized a few short surahs, but do we recite them with the rules of tajwid? It's also very important to make sure we are correctly reciting the Qur'an that we recite during prayer. In this online workshop, we will focus on a different surah each week as we learn the rules of tajwid. We will learn how to recognize when a rule should be applied while reading from the mushaf, and how to correctly apply that rule in recitation.

Dates: Every Tuesday 5:30-6:30 PM, starting September 12th, 2023.
