⚓ Water Taxi Vessel Captain (Full-Time)
⚓ Water Taxi Deck Hand (2 Positions Available – Full-Time & on-call)

We are looking for individuals who are:

✅ Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when required. Monday to Friday. Early mornings Am /PM shift.

🚤 Water Taxi Vessel Captain

The successful candidate will safely operate and navigate the MV Ahous Hakuum while ensuring passenger safety, vessel maintenance, and compliance with Transport Canada regulations.

Required Qualifications Include:
⚓ SVOP Certification
⚓ MED A-3
⚓ ROC-M Radio Certification
⚓ Basic Marine First Aid
⚓ Minimum 2 years experience operating small vessels
⚓ Strong navigation and seamanship skills
⚓ Knowledge of Ahousaht waters is considered a strong asset

💲 $28–$35/hour (based on experience)

⚓ Water Taxi Deck Hand

The successful candidate will assist vessel captains with daily operations, passenger services, vessel maintenance, safety procedures, and administrative duties.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
⚓ Strong customer service skills
⚓ A willingness to learn and take direction
⚓ Physical ability to work in a marine environment
⚓ First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
⚓ Excellent communication skills
⚓ A strong work ethic and positive attitude

💲 $25–$28/hour (based on experience)

The Maaqutusiis Hahoulthee Stewardship Society (MHSS) is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Guardian Team!

As an Ahousaht Stewardship Guardian, you’ll help steward and protect our territory while working alongside the Hawiih, community members, youth, Elders, and partner organizations. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the long-term care of our lands, waters, culture, and future generations.

🔹 Full-Time Position (32+ hours/week)
🔹 Wage: $22–$25/hour (based on experience)
🔹 Based out of Tofino with extensive field work throughout Ahousaht territory
🔹 Training and professional development opportunities provided

We’re looking for people who are:

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved family member. On behalf of our ḥawiił and MHSS colleagues and team we extend our deepest love, condolences, and support to his wife, children, siblings, mother, and all extended family during this difficult time. May you feel surrounded by care and comfort as we come together to honour and remember a life deeply cherished. Funeral and service details are shared in the attached poster.
