May is Child Care Month, and I want to take a moment to celebrate our incredible Early Years team. 💛

Jenn, Melissa, Linda, Marylise, and Caleb, thank you for the care, creativity, and heart you bring to this work every single day.

You create welcoming environments where children and families feel seen, valued, connected, and truly part of the community around them. You thoughtfully create experiences alongside children and families that are grounded in relationships, culture, curiosity, and joy. You notice children’s ideas and interests, wonder alongside them, and continue extending experiences in meaningful and responsive ways.

I am continually inspired by the way you support families, build connections within community, and help ensure children and families feel cared for and supported.

I am so proud of the work our team does across our communities and grateful for the relationships you build every day.

We hope you can join us today at Wickaninnish Community School for Ready, Set, Learn — We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! 🐻

This free, drop-in event is for children birth to 5 (siblings welcome). It’s a wonderful chance to meet Kindergarten teachers, connect with community supports, enjoy delicious soup, storytelling, and choose a free book to take home.
