We could not be more proud to share our Provincial Championships Results from our final competition of the year. Long post ahead - worth the read :)
It is a long road to Provincials. These athletes...
- Trained for 8 months leading up to this event
- Must meet a minimum all around score at at least 2 qualifying events to be eligible
- Must attend a minimum of 3 competitions to be eligible
Not everyone gets to go to Provincials. We had 12 athletes qualify this season, which marks our MOST ATHLETES EVER to attend Provincial Championships!!!
For a small town club competing against bigger clubs, athletes that train more hours, with more coaching staff, more equipment, etc. it is something to celebrate that our little club keeps making waves.
Not only did we have athletes attend, we came home with 8 MEDALS!!! (2025 we had 4, 2024 we had 0, 2023 we had 1)
Including a Provincial Champion - Sylvie St. Amant , defending her title on Vault with a new all-time personal best score!!
We didn't stop there. Each year there are special awards given at Provincials that celebrate Artistry, Creativity & Choreography. This year, we had 2 athletes awarded the Provincial Choreography Award for their Floor routines - Alexa Scheidt & Molly Gillis, both routines choreographed by Coach Jody. Many clubs hire specialty dance choreographers for their athletes routines. At our club, Coach Jody works with each athlete to create their routine based on their personality. Jody makes the routines and the athletes add their own personality and flare. This is a big achievement for our club and a great celebration of our athletes and coaches hard work as well.
This brings our competition season to a close, but you better believe we are still in the gym training - working towards next season already!
