NEOMMS (Northeastern Mines and Minerals): Geoscience Insights and Innovations Symposium, will be on October 7-8th, 2026, at the McIntyre Community Centre, Schumacher (Timmins), Ontario.
We are looking for presenters for our technical sessions on critical minerals, innovations in geoscience, or project updates, as well as exhibitors.
There will be a few pre-show events:
-Free public guided rock tour of outcrops in the Timmins area- tentatively Oct. 4th.
-Mine tours of the Pamour and Dome open pits with Discovery Mining on Oct. 5th for symposium attendees.
-Open entry exhibitor and student open house in the auditorium, 5-8pm (Oct. 5). Cash Bar.
-1 day short course from Mineral Exploration Research Centre (MERC), Harquail School of Earth Sciences with Laurentian University, offered both in-person and virtual on Oct. 6th. Title of the short course is: "New Insights into Crustal-Scale Influences on Gold and Base Metal Endowment in the Superior Craton and the Abitibi Greenstone Belt".
Main event (Oct. 7 & 8th):
Technical presentations divided into 4 different half-day sessions, including: 1) OGS/RGP activity; 2) Critical Minerals; 3) Exploration and Mining Projects; and 4) Exploration and geoscience innovation

Gala dinner proudly sponsored by Discovery Mining with keynote speaker Hon. George Pirie (Oct. 7th). Starting with cocktails in the auditorium at 5pm, followed by supper at 6:30pm in the ballroom. Cash bar.
