A sincere thank you to United Way Centraide North East Ontario/ Nord-est de l'Ontario and the Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins for their ongoing dedication to supporting individuals and families in Timmins. Your work continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.

Northern College and its Emergency Services programs are taking the stairs on November 27 for a great cause.

Starting at noon, nearly 100 Police Foundations, Pre-Service Firefighter and Paramedic students will be participating in a 24-hour stair climbing marathon to raise funds the annual Timmins Victim Services' Toy Drive.

The goal of this event is to raise funds to purchase toys for the annual toy drive, ensuring that age-appropriate gifts can be selected for children of any age.

Those wishing to donate to the event and ensuring that children in need have a happy holiday can do so through the Northern College Foundation.

With the Christmas season approaching, Timmins and District Victim Services and the Timmins Police Service are again joining forces in the annual Christmas Toy Drive.

During this time, we will be accepting new, unwrapped toys as well as monetary donations at the Victim Services office located within the Timmins Police Station, 185 Spruce St S. These donations will help us provide Christmas gifts to families in need.

This has been an ongoing initiative for the past few years and has helped over 150 families during the Christmas season. The Christmas Toy Drive relies solely on the community's generosity and would not be possible without the help of others. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will help change the Christmas holidays for many families.

We will be accepting names for the Christmas Toy Drive November 3rd, 2025.
