Today, we remember and honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.

These are not just statistics—they are mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties, and friends whose voices were silenced far too soon. Their absence is deeply felt in families, communities, and across the nation.

We stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, calling for justice, accountability, and lasting change. We must listen, learn, and act to end the violence and ensure safety, respect, and dignity for all Indigenous women and girls.

No more stolen sisters!

Living Space is currently navigating challenges due to funding instability. Unlike many service providers, Living Space must reapply for funding each year. This funding model makes programs and services difficult to plan for because funding is not guaranteed.

The decision was made to restructure shelter operations. This impacts Living Space's community-based Housing and Outreach teams. We are making sure that clients remain supported with this change by working closely with valued community partners and stakeholders.

Our focus remains on minimizing impacts and maintaining essential services for those who rely on Living Space

What will not change:

- Living Space will continue 24/7 emergency shelter services operating at a 63 bed capacity with staffed support
- Living Space space will continue to operate the Launch Pad pilot project with the support of external partners
- Daytime drop-in services, including access to washrooms, laundry and snacks will still be available
- Living Space will continue to provide supports and referrals to community-based housing , mental health, addictions and other supports
- Living Space will continue to support services such as onsite physician clinics, dental cleanings and other services provided by other partners
