This month, we celebrate the strength, diversity, and resilience of our Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ community members. We are proud to stand alongside our friends, volunteers, staff, quilters, and supporters who help make our community vibrant and welcoming.

At Quilts for Survivors, everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. Our studio is a space where people of all identities, genders, gender expressions, and sexual orientations are welcome.

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Turtle Island.

At Quilts for Survivors, we recognize that learning about Indigenous history is not limited to one month. It is an ongoing commitment to truth, understanding, and reconciliation. This month, we encourage everyone to take time to listen to Survivors, learn from Indigenous voices, and reflect on the strength, resilience, and knowledge that Indigenous communities continue to carry forward despite generations of colonial policies and systems.

Through every quilt, conversation, and act of community care, we honour those who came before us and support healing for future generations.

We are trying to get our 9,000th quilt sent out by May 28th and we need your help to make it happen!

If you have a finished quilt and label, please email:

Subject: QUILT READY TO SHIP

Please include a photo of the front and back of the quilt to confirm the label is attached and that you can ship within 2 to 3 business days.

We will be responding to emails today and throughout next week! Please use the subject line above.

If you have emailed us previously, please resend your email.

We are working very hard at the studio shipping quilts and prepping for our annual fundraising yard sale.

Did you know we accept handmade cards? 🧡

Every quilt that leaves our studio includes a handmade card with a message of care and support inside. We also include a letter and a poem with each quilt.

This is a simple way you can do a little bit to help 💌

If you’d like to contribute, you can create a card and mail it to us:
