As we celebrate Cadets Canada Week we want to take a minute to thank all our wonderful officer volunteers as without them it would not be possible to offer services for the youth of Timmins!

It is especially meaningful for NLCC Timmins #165 as we proudly mark our 40th Anniversary this year. For four decades, our corps has provided local youth with opportunities to develop leadership, citizenship, teamwork, discipline, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment. We are grateful to the dedicated volunteers, officers, parents, sponsors, and cadets, past and present, whose commitment has helped shape generations of young leaders in our community. As we celebrate Cadets Canada Week, we honour our rich history, celebrate our achievements, and look forward to continuing our mission of inspiring and empowering youth for many years to come.

Violent online groups such as “The COM” are largely composed of youth who seek to victimize other youth.

Teach your kids that:
• Just because someone is their age, doesn’t mean they’re safe.
• They shouldn’t engage in anything that makes them uncomfortable or would get them in trouble with you
• It’s never too late to seek help from parents, educators, counsellors, practitioners, police or other trusted adults – they're here to help!
