A great day on the green for a great cause ⛳️🏌️‍♀️

The Thunder Bay Community Foundation’s Board Chair, Wendy Bell, joined Bonnie Moore, Elizabeth Thomson, and Frank Lopez at BGC’s recent Golf Tournament at Whitewater Golf Club.

Meanwhile, our Foundation staff - Amanda and Dani, were also out on the course volunteering and helping make the event a success.

UPDATE: Together, we’ve raised more than $400,000 through the Northwestern Ontario Wildfire Community Support Fund.

Thank you to all the individuals and families, businesses, community organizations, First Nations partners and donors from across Northwestern Ontario - and from across Canada and beyond - who have stepped up to support the affected communities.

Our heartfelt gratitude to The Azrieli Foundation as well, whose $50,000 Challenge Grant helped us reach this incredible milestone! 💙

Together, we’ve raised more than $400,000 through the Northwestern Ontario Wildfire Community Support Fund.

From individuals and families to businesses, community organizations, First Nations partners and donors from across Northwestern Ontario — and from across Canada and beyond — people have stepped up to support communities affected by the wildfires.

Is your organization working to make a difference in our community? The Thunder Bay Community Foundation is now accepting applications for grant funding to help turn community-focused ideas and initiatives into meaningful action.

Organizations eligible to apply must:
✅ Be a charitable organization with a valid charitable registration number
✅ Provide services or deliver projects within the District of Thunder Bay

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have more than $200,000 available for Grants this year! This funding comes from the many Funds held by the Foundation, supporting a variety of projects and initiatives that align with the needs of our community.

We are deeply grateful to The Azrieli Foundation for its extraordinary commitment to the people and communities affected by this year's devastating wildfires in Northwestern Ontario.

The Foundation has pledged $50,000 to the Northwestern Ontario Wildfire Community Support Fund—and, even more importantly, has chosen to use that gift to inspire others.
