Dew Drop Inn Thunder Bay

Dew Drop Inn Thunder Bay St. Andrew's Dew Drop Inn soup kitchen was established in 1981 to address the needs of the hungry in the community of Thunder Bay.

The Dew Drop Inn is open 7 days a week and currently during the pandemic we offer a cold take-home lunch from 9 am to 3:30 pm or a hot take home meal from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. We provide a safe, welcoming environment where hungry men, women and children can access food with no questions asked and are treated with respect and dignity..

Thank you so much to Nick who stopped by on behalf of Savanne River Resort who had left over breakfast sausages and eggs from a recent event and thought of us to bring the products that were not used. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported our 2nd last Have BBQ Will Travel event of the season yesterday. With that being said 5 days until our last BBQ with our friends from INTERCITY INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY which will be on Tuesday September 8th from 11am-2pm 669 Squier St. This will be your last chance to get your Dewey dog/burger, cookies & our blueberry cheesecakes for the 2026 season. WOW it is hard to believe it is September 1st already. August was a busy month here at the Dew Drop Inn but not quite as busy as August of the previous year. We saw a daily average of 380 people each day which was a decrease by 15 from the previous year. Feeding 380 people daily is a lot of meals going out each day and this is something we couldn't do without our community. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by in August with donations & to everyone who volunteered their time. We could not do what we do without you and we are so thankful to have you all on our team.

WOW! Thank you so much to Farmer Josh who stopped by this afternoon on behalf of the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre Farm Program. Josh never comes empty handed bringing over 3 full carts worth of cabbage, beets, peppers & zucchini for us to use! We are so thankful to Josh and his entire team for the role they play in our Compassion Kitchen. We all know nothing beats the taste of local and we are so excited to be able to provide added nutrients into our daily hot meal. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.

A huge thank you goes out to Ceara & Carys who stopped by on the behalf of the Thunder Bay Border Cats whose season recently ended so they stopped by bringing various food donations for us to use in our kitchen that were left over.
