Superior Chef is ONE MONTH AWAY!

We’re officially ONE MONTH away from Superior Chef! If you’ve been hearing about the event and wondering what it’s all about, here’s everything you need to know.

🍽️ What is Superior Chef?
Superior Chef is a brand new culinary competition bringing some of Thunder Bay’s talented chefs together for an unforgettable evening of food, fun and friendly competition. You’ll sample their creations and help vote for the first Superior Chef People’s Choice Award!

Who does Superior Chef support?
Proceeds from the evening will support George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation and Easter Seals Ontario, helping children, youth and families in Thunder Bay, Northwestern Ontario and across the province.

How can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available now at superiorchef.ca. General Admission and VIP tickets are available.

What’s included with VIP?
VIP guests get to start the evening early with an exclusive reception featuring appetizers, a specialty cocktail and the chance to mix and mingle with our celebrity emcee, comedian James Cunningham, before the main event begins.

Which chefs are participating?
We’ve brought together a lineup of top chefs from across Thunder Bay’s food scene, each ready to showcase their skills and bring something unique to the competition. Stay tuned to our page as we introduce the chefs who will be competing!

Who will determine the Superior Chef?
We’ve hand-picked a panel of five judges who know a great dish when they taste one! With discerning palates and an appreciation for great food, they’ll have the difficult job of tasting each chef’s creation and ultimately deciding who will be crowned Superior Chef.

Do guests get to vote?
Yes! Each ticket holder receives a ballot to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award. Come hungry and be ready to choose your favourite!

What time does Superior Chef start?
📍 Superior Inn Hotel & Conference Centre
📅 Thursday, October 1
🚪 General Admission doors open at 6:00 p.m.
🍴 Main event begins at 6:30 p.m.

The exclusive VIP reception starts at 5:30 p.m.

What should I wear?
Think fun night out! There’s no need to get overly dressed up. Come ready to eat, mingle and enjoy the evening.

One of the best things about donor support is seeing exactly where it goes. 💙

At George Jeffrey Children's Centre, the Caregiver Mediated Early Years Program helps young children with Autism learn new skills through play, routines and activities based on their own interests and goals.

Parents and caregivers learn right alongside them, and each family receives a Parent Manual they can use during the program and at home.

Thanks to longtime Foundation donor Richard, those manuals are provided to families at no cost!

That means parents and caregivers have something practical to refer back to during playtime, daily routines and all the little moments in between.

We’re so grateful to donors like Richard for supporting this program and helping make these resources available to families.

Our 2025–2026 Gratitude Report is here! 💛

This report is a look at what your support made possible over the past year. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and community, we raised $471,138 in support of children, youth, and families served by George Jeffrey Children’s Centre.

More than 3,400 children and youth received services this year, and behind that number are so many individual milestones, meaningful experiences, and moments of progress.
