A big thank you to the NORTH SHORE DOG CLUB for supporting George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation!

During their August Dog Show at Chippewa Park, the Club hosted a 50/50 draw and collected additional donations in support of local children and youth.

Congratulations to Rod, who won $1,250! 🎉

We're so grateful for community groups like the North Shore Dog Club who help us raise funds and share our message with more people. Thank you to everyone who contributed! 💙

What an incredible evening at the Superior Chef Competition!

We were proud to sponsor and attend this exciting event that brought together Thunder Bay's culinary talent and community spirit.

Guests enjoyed outstanding dishes from 10 local chefs, and together, we helped raise more than $83,000 for Easter Seals Ontario - Ontario North and the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success. We're proud to be part of a community that continues to show up and support important causes. ❤️

We’re taking an extra long weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving! 🍂🧡

Our Foundation office will be closed Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12, and we’ll be back on Tuesday, October 13.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food, good company and plenty to be thankful for. 🍁

CONGRATS TO LINDY FOR BEING THE WINNER OF THE Stella WaxBar 50/50 DRAW! 🎉

This year was the 5th annual Stella WaxBar Charity Gala and 50/50. We're so grateful for all the work the team at Stella does for us. It's such a fantastic event year after year.

The 50/50 draw winner, Lindy, will take home $3,220!

Today, our team is wearing orange as we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡

At George Jeffrey Children's Centre, kids are at the heart of what we do. Today, we reflect on the importance of making sure every child feels safe, valued and supported.

We honour Survivors, their families and communities, and remember the children who never returned home.

Every Child Matters.

Learning to stay home alone safely is a big step toward independence.

Thanks to our donors, George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation is helping fund an adapted Stay Safe! Stay Home Alone course for clients of George Jeffrey Children's Centre .

Through this Red Cross certified program, children will learn practical skills to help them feel more prepared and confident when staying home on their own for short periods of time. It’s one more way donor support helps create opportunities for children and youth to build skills they can use in everyday life.

🔥 Meet the Chefs of Superior Chef!

Next up, we’re shining the spotlight on a familiar name in Thunder Bay’s food scene: 5 Forks Restaurant!

A long-time favourite in Thunder Bay’s dining scene, 5 Forks Restaurant is known for putting a fresh spin on familiar favourites. Their approach to premium casual dining brings together great ingredients, bold flavours and dishes that feel just as at home on a night out as they do around a table with friends.

The 5 Forks menu covers plenty of ground, from premium steaks and burgers to pastas, bowls, shareables and creative takes on classic comfort food. Behind it all is a culinary team that brings knowledge, creativity and plenty of experience to the kitchen.

And this isn’t 5 Forks’ first taste of culinary competition. The restaurant has a history with Thunder Bay’s Top Chef events, including taking home the title in 2014. 🏆

Because 5 Forks operates with a culinary team rather than a single Head Chef, it will be represented this year by its two longest-tenured teammates, Paul Collie & Zach Stollar.
