United Way of Thunder Bay UWTB strives to make meaningful long-term improvements to the quality of life for all people.

The United Way of Thunder Bay is changing the lives of local people by making strategic investments across Thunder Bay to help move people from poverty to possibility, foster healthy people and a strong community and help kids be all that they can be. We accomplish this through assisting 30 local organizations to provide 64 vital health and human care programs for those in need. In addition to fun

ding crucial programs the United Way works closely with community partners to address underlying causes to community issues, strengthen the capacity of community networks, and work collaboratively to change and improve the quality of life for all.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Creative Patio Takeover. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us, connected with the community and helped make the event such a great time, and to GenNext and Youth United who helped make it happen!

As we’ve said before, all proceeds will support the Stuff-A-Bus campaign, helping provide school supplies to kids who need them.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us at the CommUNITY BBQ and helped make it a complete success!

From the volunteers, our dunkees (and dunkers) to our sponsors – everyone did an amazing job. We couldn’t have done this without you.

With your support and donations, we were able to raise $40,000+ for a great cause!

Together, we’ve raised more than $400,000 through the Northwestern Ontario Wildfire Community Support Fund.

From individuals and families to businesses, community organizations, First Nations partners and donors from across Northwestern Ontario — and from across Canada and beyond — people have stepped up to support communities affected by the wildfires.

And a very special thank you to The Azrieli Foundation, whose $50,000 Challenge Grant helped us reach this incredible milestone.

Every gift has made a difference. Every share helped spread the word. And together, we’ve shown that when our communities need us, we show up.
