The deadline is fast approaching for the 2026 YES Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship awards $500 to a registered client who will be attending post-secondary education in September 2026 (diploma, degree or certificate program). Any client who has registered with YES Employment Services within the last year (September 2025 – September 2026) is eligible to apply. The application deadline is Monday September 7th, 2026. Call 807-623-0768 or visit our office at 1116 Waterford Street (off Memorial at Dunlop) to receive an application. Submit your application via e-mail to [email protected] or drop it off at our office. Good luck to all in your studies!

Register for our Better Jobs Ontario Info Session taking place Wednesday August 26th at 2pm by calling 807-623-0768 or e-mail [email protected]. This information session provides clients with a comprehensive overview of the Better Jobs Ontario program. This includes a look at the Better Jobs Ontario application process and the eligibility and suitability for the program. The funding is available to unemployed individuals for which skills training is the most appropriate intervention to transition into high-skill, in-demand occupations. This program is available to unemployed individuals, who have been laid-off, or are from a low-income household experiencing challenges attaching to the labour market.
