PBSC is excited to announce the 7th annual Chief
Justice Richard Wagner Awards!

In 2020, with the support of the Right Honourable
Richard Wagner, Chief Justice of Canada, PBSC
launched the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Awards to
recognize our outstanding student volunteers across
the country.

The awards recognize one volunteer from each of our
Chapters who has demonstrated exemplary leadership
and commitment to PBSC’s mission of providing free
legal support to people and communities facing
barriers to justice.

Nominations for the 2025 Awards will open on
February 2.

Hopefully the first few weeks of the new semester have been going well and you’re all getting back into your classes and PBSC projects nicely.

To welcome you back we will be hosting a pizza lunch in the auditorium next Tuesday, January 27th! We will be going over important information about the coordinator position posted last week and the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award.

Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) is hiring! We’re looking for one dedicated student to co-lead the PBSC Lakehead University Chapter. This is a full-time position for the summer, transitioning to part-time during the 2026-2027 school year.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in your community, this is a fantastic chance to gain leadership experience and contribute to meaningful legal initiatives.
