On Saturday, 309 Fort William Sea Cadets proudly conducted their 37th Annual Ceremonial Review.

While we may be a smaller corps, our cadets continue to prove that dedication, teamwork, and strong leadership can accomplish incredible things. This year, our cadets challenged themselves to grow, set ambitious goals, and worked tirelessly to bring their vision to life.

In addition to participating in biathlon, marksmanship, sailing, seamanship, and orienteering our cadets successfully established both a Guard and Band program—an impressive achievement made possible through countless hours of practice and commitment.

We are incredibly proud of everything our cadets have accomplished this training year and grateful for the support of our families, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who help make these opportunities possible.

Bravo Zulu to our Band and Guard members on an outstanding performance at this year's Annual Ceremonial Review!

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that both teams were built from the ground up this training year. Through countless hours of practice, teamwork, determination, and leadership, these cadets transformed a vision into reality in record time.

You should all be incredibly proud of what you accomplished and the professionalism you displayed. The future of 309 Fort William is bright!

⚓ What a Fantastic ACR! ⚓

Congratulations to all of our cadets on an outstanding Annual Ceremonial Review. Your hard work, teamwork, leadership, and dedication throughout the year were on full display, and you represented 309 Fort William with pride and professionalism.

A special congratulations to those who stepped outside their comfort zones this year—whether by taking on a new leadership role, joining a team, learning a new skill, or volunteering behind the scenes. Growth happens when we challenge ourselves, and this year we saw countless examples of cadets doing exactly that.

As we head into the summer, continue to challenge yourselves, support one another, and build on the skills and confidence you have developed this year. The future of our corps is bright because of the young leaders who wear the uniform today.

Interested in joining the adventure? We are always welcoming new members! Sea Cadets is a free program for youth ages 12–18, offering leadership, citizenship, sailing, music, marksmanship, outdoor activities, and lifelong friendships. For younger youth ages 9–12, our Navy League Cadet program provides a fun introduction to teamwork, confidence-building, and nautical activities.

Many former cadets from 309 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Fort William go on to pursue profeasional careers in all sectors.

The leadership, teamwork, discipline, confidence, and resilience built through the cadet program create a strong foundation for lifelong success — both in and out of uniform.

For over 38 years, 309 Corps has been proud to help develop capable, community-minded youth right here in Thunder Bay, preparing the next generation to lead, serve, and succeed while contributing to a stronger Canada.

This morning, volunteers from 309 RCSCC Fort William and the Lakehead Navy League Branch had the opportunity to support the Superior Shores Gaming Association.

We are incredibly grateful for organizations like Superior Shores that continue to support local non-profits, youth programs, and community initiatives throughout Thunder Bay. Their ongoing commitment helps organizations like ours continue providing meaningful opportunities and experiences within our community.

Some exciting news from Fort William Sea Cadets this weekend!

A group of our cadets successfully completed their First Aid certification, developing valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and confidence to respond in emergency situations. Training like this is an important part of how our cadets grow as capable, community-minded leaders.

A sincere thank you to Superior Shores Gaming Association for helping make this opportunity possible through their generous support.
