Our vision is to provide dynamic leadership for social change and the betterment of community. We are dedicated to building a better community through strategic alliances, social research and the provision of valid, reliable information. The LSPC is home to 211 Ontario North which provides information and referral services to Northern Ontario. Other important services provided by the LSPC include the Good Food Box, Free Income Tax Clinics and a public computer access site. There are typically several projects the LSPC is involved with at any time including Poverty Free Thunder Bay and Graffiti Guard.

Through the 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, 𝗟𝗦𝗣𝗖 (𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹) is proud to support a project that brings together community, skills, and meaningful opportunities for youth.

💙 $𝟲𝟮𝟱,𝟰𝟬𝟯 received from 𝗖𝗠𝗛𝗖 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗦𝗣𝗖 to support Indigenous youth in learning skilled trades.

Every home represents more than a building - it represents skills gained, opportunities created, and communities strengthened. We’re proud of the people and partners who continue to make this work possible. New school year has begun and once again we are excited to see students making steady progress on building these houses.

We’re looking for volunteers to join our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)! 🧾💙

If you have a basic understanding of income tax and would like to help eligible individuals and families complete their tax returns, we’d love to have you join our team!

Free training will be provided for both Tax Preparers and Support Volunteers.
Your time can make a real difference in our community by helping people access the benefits and credits they may be entitled to.
