8 Students. 8 Opportunities. 8 Jobs!

That's a wrap for our second cohort of T4 (Tech, Tools & Trades Training)!

Today marks their final day of in-class training, and next week all eight will be heading into the field to begin their on-the-job training with IBEW contractors.

Our goal has never been to provide training just for the sake of training. We're creating opportunities, building apprenticeships and connecting people directly with employment.

We're not just training people for jobs. We're making sure those jobs are waiting for them!

Congratulations to all eight students as they take this next step toward becoming electrical apprentices!

Time is ticking and the deadline to register for the Local 402 Children’s Christmas Party is quickly approaching!

Get those kids’ names in ASAP so we can make sure Santa has something waiting for them under the tree! 🎄🎁

⛳ Another great IBEW Local 402 Golf Tournament in the books!

What a day! Great weather, lots of laughs, a little friendly competition, and most importantly, a chance for our members to get together and enjoy the day.

A few weeks ago, we were honoured to welcome our local MP the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families, to the IBEW Local 402 Training and Education Centre (TEC).

It was a great opportunity to showcase the work being done right here in Northwestern Ontario to train the next generation of skilled electrical workers. Through hands on training and apprenticeship education, we're proud to be building a skilled local workforce that will help power our communities for years to come.

Thank you, Patty Hajdu, for taking the time to visit our facility and learn more about the important role skilled trades training plays in strengthening our region.
