If you've never brought your kids to a TBSO Family concert, here's what you can expect at the Halloween Spooktacular:

👻About an hour long
🎃All ages welcome
👻Mysterious melodies
🎃Costumes are very encouraged. We've had superheroes, dinosaurs, and more than a few tiny witches in the audience!

This is a great first concert if your little one’s have never seen a live orchestra before! It’s short enough to hold their attention, and big enough to make an impression. Who's coming in costume this year?

What a week! Brittany Moat, the Executive Director of the TBSO, just spent a couple of days in New York City learning from some of the best in biz. She was one of 20 participants, and only Canadian, taking part in the League of American Orchestras Artistic Administration Intensive. The organization is the leading professional body for orchestras in North America.

Tonight it gets a live audience. Bring someone who's never been to the symphony. 7:30 pm at the Italian Cultural Centre. A few seats left!

What a way to kick off a new season! You could feel the whole room come alive in the final bars of Beethoven's "Eroica." Thank you to everyone who came out for opening night. There's nothing quite like hearing an orchestra live, together, and it was so good to see so many familiar (and new!) faces as we start our 66th season here in Thunder Bay.

The moment of quiet before that first note is everything. Here’s a little throwback to our Season 66 Preview show at Confederation College last week. The season opens TOMORROW at The Auditorium.

Season 66 officially begins October 16th. We're opening with Violet Archer- Poem for Orchestra, Fauré - Pelléas et Mélisande, and closing with one of Beethoven’s most celebrated works, Symphony No. 3 “Eroica." When he wrote it, it broke every rule of what a symphony was supposed to be. Longer, bigger, more ambitious than anything before it. We picked it with purpose because a season opener should feel that big.
