Hi Everyone
We didn’t want to rain ☔️ on anyone’s parade but Mother Nature sure did on ours. We unfortunately are forced to postpone our event on June 24 😫. Don’t worry though, as soon as we all dry out we will reset a new date and bring on the fun 🥳. Keep following our page for the latest updates. In the mean time try and stay dry and be safe 🥰. Your Friends Here At Thorsby Communities In Bloom 😊.

🐛 Not an infestation - just a seasonal guest.

This year, some of our parks are experiencing a natural, cyclical boom of tent caterpillars that occurs approximately every 10-12 years. Tent caterpillars are a native species that play an important role in the ecosystem, serving as a food source for birds and other wildlife.

Next time you run into them, don’t fret about these fuzzy critters - they’ll be on their way soon enough! The caterpillar stage of their lifecycle typically lasts 4–6 weeks, until they spin cocoons and transition into moths in July.

Hi Everyone
On June 10 Thorsby CIB Members gathered at Taylor Park to plant up the grounds. To name some of the varieties that we planted were - approximately 200 mix gladiolus bulbs, 40 mixed zinnias. 24 rose begonias, 90 rose snapdragons, 40 mix gazania, 20 mixed asters, and so much more. Mother Natures delayed the rain so we could plant and we didn’t waste time cutting, digging, planting and a whole lot of tenderness to get things planted. This year we have received an incredible truck load of plant support from local Crossroads Farm and Greenhouse. Enough as in it filled the entire truck box, backseat, passenger front seat and floors. Our goal is to achieve a very full and magnificent blend of colour distinction and style this year. ❤️❤️❤️
We remain so grateful for the generous donation that makes events like this so enjoyable and inspiring 😊😊😊. Thankyou Crossroads.
