Pomona Mills Park Conservationists The Pomona Mills Park Conservationists (PMPC) was founded in 1999 in order to help restore and rehabilitate the East Don River within Pomona Mills Park.

The Pomona Mills Park Conservationists is a volunteer-run group dedicated to protecting and restoring Pomona Mills Park in Thornhill. Founded by Anne Fowler and Valerie Burke, the group has held more than 10 community clean ups and plantings, planting over 2200 trees, shrubs and wildflowers, and collecting over 450 bags of litter and recycling.

Join us for our annual litter clean up on Sunday, April 26th from 10:00 -11:30 AM. A guided bird watching walk will begin at 11:30 for anyone who is interested in learning about the different birds in Pomona.

Our annual litter clean up was a big success! We had a turn out of about 50 or more people from the community including Regional Councilors Alan Ho and Joe Li. Thornhill Historical Society generously provided refreshments.

Approximately 30 bags of garbage were collected. Some of the more unusual items collected were a bicycle which was dumped in the river, a microwave and a computer tower.

Thank you everyone for helping to keep Pomona Mills Park clean!
