Fall is here, Thanksgiving is coming and Sheffield Park Museum's 2026 summer season is almost over. This is the last week to journey through our twenty-three display buildings and enjoy the Heritage Walk. Whether it is your first time or a repeat visit, we would love to see you this week before we close the barn doors!

The Dedication Service at The Old Durham Road Black Pioneer Cemetery was attended by supporters and some new friends. The theme was "community-unity" and that was the feeling of the day! Thank you, Naomi and Cemetery Committee members!

So happy our friends from Bay Haven Care Community enjoyed their visit to Sheffield Park. We certainly were pleased to see some dear friends and make some new ones. Just a great day!

We are pleased to be partnering with "MAKING CHANGE" as they host a Black Coffee Event here at Sheffield Park. Visit their booth and enjoy a variety of smooth coffees or a cool refreshment. And don't forget to tour the museum as well. We are open until 3:00 pm (the outdoor Heritage Walk closes at 2:00 pm)

The excitement continues! Another local group dropped in for a tour! Great day for a visit!

What a pleasant surprise! In 1960, George Wass brought his family to Collingwood to meet his good friend, Herbert Wilson, only to find out Herb had been killed on the job a few years earlier. The two men had trained together in the medical corps during WW II and had become close comrades. The families never met.

Today, however, George's daughter Debbie and her husband, Allan, made a special trip to meet us at Sheffield Park. She brought pictures of our father with two other army friends. A new bond of friendship has been ignited because of two wonderful fathers who shared respect and comraderie. Thank you so much!
