Sheffield Park Black History Museum Visit our 16 display buildings as you enjoy the Heritage Walk around 11 acres of natural setting.

Sheffield Park Black History and Cultural Museum is living history of the Black Settlers in the Collingwood/Owen Sound areas, the two northern terminals of the Underground Railroad system. Open May to October, Thurs to Sat 10:00 am - 3:00 pm (Heritage Walk closes at 2:00 pm)

Clarksburg celebrates Canada Day! And Sheffield Park Black History & Cultural Museum will be there, too! We celebrate the contributions of Black Canadians with artifacts, displays, information and conversation at the Marsh Street Centre on Wednesday, July 1st from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Abolitionists assisted Freedom Seekers via the Underground Railroad by operating their homes as Stations or Depots. They provided shelter, food, clothing and a resting place on the route to freedom.
