Unfortunately, the Manitoba Seniors Advocate is unable to travel to Thompson the week of October 28. In her place, we and Victoria Lifeline bring you some sound advice and tips on fall prevention as we head into winter. Coffee / tea will be served.

Again ... so much to be grateful for. An anonymous donation of food items was left for us on the weekend. Thank you ... hope you are reading this.

There's more ... Monday morning, Thompson Ford Sales donated two SUVs full of items for our food security program! Thank you so much Lacey and Kiera! You will make this week's hampers extra special!

We temporarily do no have internet services. Repairs will take another week. We are using 'hotspots', but only for short periods of time. If you need to contact us and it's important or time sensitive, you may wish to call 204-677-0987. In the meantime, enjoy your October newsletter ... and gear up for a potluck dinner!

Thank you to the organizers of Culturama for including the Thompson Seniors in your celebrations and especially for recognizing our 30th year with a cake. The Happy Anniversary song was really enjoyed. We hope to be able to partner on future events.

For those who were unable to attend, we hope there is a Culturama in 2027 and that you can make it then. The food, entertainment and fellowship were enjoyable and inspiring.

Join us at Culturama!!! A full day of fun, food and fellowship.

This event is the creation of Thompson Immigrant Services. But we were invited to participate!

Starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at the Legion we will introduce some seniors willing to share their Thompson history.

And since we like selling tickets, we will encourage you to participate in the Culturama 50/50 raffle.

Most Culturama events are FREE. There is just a small charge to sample the different ethnic food offerings.

See you at Culturama!!!
