We are currently seeking to hire a Full-Time Physical Education, Cree/Indigenous Studies, I.D.E.A.L. and Hairstyling teacher.
R.D. Parker Collegiate is a high school in Thompson, Manitoba, located on Treaty 5 land, that is home to roughly 1000 students from Thompson and the surrounding communities. We offer incredible programs and services, including 5 vocational programs, with 4 being accredited. Our school is active in extra-curriculars, including large athletics and band programs, as well as many unique student groups. As a newly designated Community School, only the second high school in Manitoba, we now connect with our families and community more than ever through feasts, events, ceremonies, and more.
We also have 6 elementary schools that house an average of 250 students each. Thompson is a hub city for the North. Our population is just over 13,000, but we supply goods and services to nearly 50,000. We are Northern, but not remote. The drive from Winnipeg is between 7-8 hours, and there are local airline options as well. The School District of Mystery Lake offers some of the most competitive salaries in all of Canada. Additionally, we have a very generous moving allowance, annual travel allowances, and 100% employer-paid benefits.
