From supporting local projects and organizations to growing funds that will continue giving back for generations, every contribution helps create meaningful impact across The Pas, Opaskwayak Cree Nation and the RM of Kelsey.

What does the Opasquia Agricultural Society make possible for our community?

It’s about more than events and activities. It’s about bringing people and organizations together to create opportunities, build connections, and strengthen our rural communities.

The organizations represented in this photo each contribute to that broader impact. Thank you to our volunteers, partners, and community members for the part you play in making it possible.

We too enjoyed a fantastic three-and-a-half-hour presentation by Ian Hill. Thank you, Ian, for sharing your time and insights with us.

Together, we’re building a stronger rural community.

A heartfelt thank you to Ian Hill for bringing the You Make the Difference initiative to The Pas/OCN. We are very fortunate to have Ian visit us in Manitoba as part of this tour.

The evening was informative, inspiring and a wonderful reminder of the difference ordinary people can make when we work together. We all left with renewed energy, new ideas and inspiration to bring back to our organizations, volunteer groups and communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special. Together, we really can make the difference. 💚

From recreation and youth programming to accessibility, community spaces, arts and more, this year’s Moffat Family Fund grant recipients are helping strengthen our Tri-Community in so many meaningful ways. 💙

Through the Moffat Family Fund, $96,510 was awarded to local organizations in 2026, supporting projects that create opportunities, improve spaces and make a lasting difference for people across our communities.

Congratulations to all of this year’s grant recipients, and thank you for the work you continue to do for The Pas, Opaskwayak Cree Nation and the RM of Kelsey. We’re proud to play a part in helping these projects move forward.

Every child deserves the freedom to play ❤️🌈

Little Dreamers Daycare is creating a more inclusive playground by adding a poured rubber surface to improve accessibility and safety. This project will provider a smoother, more welcoming space where infants and children with mobility challenges can explore, play, and grow alongside their peers.

Creating spaces where every step brings people together 🌿💙

Discover Cranberry Portage Tourism is creating a more welcoming and accessible outdoor experience with the Portage Trail Promenade and the Weesakemenogap Water & Woods Walk. By improving access to the waterfront, honouring the community's historic portage route, and creating barrier-free recreational spaces, this project will encourage connection, movement, and outdoor enjoyment for families, visitors, and residents of all ages and abilities.

More ways to explore. More reasons to get outside. 🚴🏼🌲

The Cranberry Portage Hike & Ski Trail Association is expanding year-round recreation by introducing groomed fat biking to its existing trail system. With new equipment, community fat bikes, and improved trail maintenance, this project will create safe, accessible outdoor experiences for residents, visitors, and local students to enjoy in every season.

Building a future where seniors can feel at home ❤️🏡

The Northern Lights Seniors' Non-Profit Housing Co-op is taking important steps toward creating modern, accessible, and affordable housing for seniors in The Pas. Through community collaboration and thoughtful planning, this project will halp lay the foundation for a welcoming space that supports independence, connection, and long-term community well-being.

A day of creativity, connection, and community 🎨🏛️

The Pas Arts Council is bringing families together for a free a Family Fun Day at the Sam Waller Museum on Saturday, September 27 from 1-3pm. Families can enjoy free museum admission, hands-on activities, creative workshops, face painting, and snack, all designed to make arts, culture, and heritage accessible in a fun, welcoming, and barrier-free environment.
