Coming up next week April 28th 2026

Calling Firsts Nations/Indiginous people to join in a conversation with the BC Cancer- Clinical trails team. They want to hear from you. Come join in conversation and share how WE can make cancer treatments 'CULTURALY SAFE'.

Dinner, honorarium, door prizes, activity, kid friendly, and good company! No cost, free but you must register for the morning or evening time.

Movie Matinee on Friday January 30th. Please meet at times mentioned. 10:50am will be cut off for sign-in. We apologize, as no rides will be available. Children under 12 SHOULD be accompanied by and adult or older sibling.

Please make your ride arrangements and connect with us at the Theatre to see when pickup time will be.

Friday is Pro-D for the schools. If you/your child plan to get more then popcorn and a drink... please bring/send extra funds. Kitsumkalum Health will cover admission, which includes popcorn and drink.

Come join us for a health immersive event. Come explore our neighboring resources available to you. Come get your blood pressure and heart rates checked with the team from Coast Mountain College, Language/activities from the Robin house, and come visit Gila Kyew Headstart for resources.

Catering by Kasiks! Bouncy Castle provided by Maxxed out Laser tag, and don't forget to bring your water bottles.

“Sag̱ayt amuksism sag̱ayt suwilaawksism — Community Conversations on Cancer Research
BC Cancer and Northwest Coast Leadership Circle are hosting a community conversation to ensure that cancer research is meaningful, respectful, and reflective of Indigenous voices, values, and priorities.
🗓 November 21, 2025
Session 1: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Session 2: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Banquet Room #1, Terrace Sportsplex, 3320 Kalum Street
Our target audience is Indigenous.
Everyone is welcome, but we’d especially love to hear from those who:
•Have or are living with cancer
•Have had cancer
•Are or were caregivers for loved ones with cancer
•Are healthcare providers or community supports for people affected by cancer
Event Highlights:
•Medicine Bag making with feature artist Erica Davis
•Meals catered by Kasiks Wilderness Resort
•Gift cards for participants
•Kid-friendly environment
Please note there is a cap of 30 participants per session.
