September 9th is International Day

First celebrated in 1999, FASD day is devoted to raising awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) to improve prevention of FASD and diagnosis and support for individuals with FASD

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong disability that affects the brain and body of people who were exposed to alcohol in the womb. Each person with FASD has both strengths and challenges and will need special supports to help them succeed with many different parts of their daily lives.

Reminder.... Step-up Compression will be stopping by Kitsumkalum Health on their way through Northern BC.

This is just a "fitting" "sample" setup. You will likely need a prescription from your family doctor. They will fit and size and send recommendations on what 'products' will be a good fit for you.

Congrats to Myles Sam-Stephens on being our winner for the June colouring contest.

Myles found the colouring page in our monthly informer and brought his summer sunshine picture into the Kitsumkalum Health office. Basketball is his fun summer fun activity 🏀
