It was such an honour to be invited to see the first Adventures in First Responders
It was attended by approx 35 students from Caledonia, kitimat, and Centennial schools
It was exciting to see the students so involved and being hands on
Mag Fleming one our members even tried to get involved, moving the dead wait dummy with one of the Terrace fire dept members lol it was great to see participation.
Can’t wait for next year
Job well done Kim and Stephanie
Thank you for what you do ‼️

Our deepest sympathy to our sister club, the Rotary Club of Terrace, BC in the death of longtime member, Audun Birkedal. He was well known around town for his incredible dedication to selling duck race tickets. His devotion to Rotary and this community were outstanding. Big shoes to fill. ❤️

Even thought it pelted down rain, it was a great afternoon and eveng for the Rotary Club of Terrace Skeena Valleys 36th President Installation at the Terrace Rod and Gun Club, SaturdayMay 23, 2026. It was a regular shoot 'em up on the target range with hand guns, rifles and a black powder musket!
(Spark...Boom!)

Our friend Bevan Sweeney from Redneck Kitchen pulled in with his kitchen smoking some juicy smoked brisket (8hrs.), low cooked smoked beans beans, smoked ribs (5.5 hrs), bubs, fries, coleslaw and Ceasar salad. Bevan also smoked the croutons!

After a plethora of amazing desserts, Roger Leclerc was inducted as our newest member to Rotary and twice part President Diane Francis, now from Salmon Arm, BC installed the new board of directors and Ron Malmas was installed as the 36th President taking the reigns July 1, 2026 for a year.

Congratulations everyone on a wonderful event.

✨ Rotary Member Spotlight: Leah-Ann Rogers ✨

Leah-Ann joined Rotary because she wanted to do more, make a difference, and give back to the community she loves. 💛 This June, she’ll also be celebrating 10 years with Rotary!

Some of her favorite Rotary memories include a Golf scramble often held in the fall—full of fun and plenty of shenanigans! She had the opportunity to be the head cook for a Valentine’s Dinner Dance featuring a prime rib dinner, and is especially proud to have helped organize the creation of the community Splash Park.

Thank you, Leah-Ann, for your passion, energy, and dedication to our community!
Leah-Ann is center in this photo beside 2 other Rotary members, David and Roberta.

We clean the sides of Hwy 37 from the roundabout to just past the turnoff to the airport.

✨ Rotary Member Spotlight: David Oatway ✨

David has been a Rotary member for 33 years, joining for the fellowship—and staying because of the fellowship, along with the many impactful projects Rotary supports. From Starfish to playground installations, the splash park, participating in highway cleanups, and Adventures in Health Care, he values making a difference in the community.

You might know David from Grumpy’s Garage Woodworks, creating beautiful turned wood pieces like this one!

Thanks, David, for your continued dedication to Rotary and our community. 💛
