🐾 Meet Fern! 🐾

Fern is a 6-year-old female Rottweiler/Pit Bull–type mix looking for her forever home after being voluntarily surrendered to our shelter.

This beautiful black-and-white girl is a friendly, social dog who enjoys meeting other dogs and is eager to make new friends. On walks, Fern can be strong and may pull toward other dogs because she’s excited to say hello. She has a wagging tail and a big personality that can sometimes appear intimidating at first glance, but according to her previous owner, she has no history of aggression and simply loves interacting with others.

✅ 6 years old
✅ Female
✅ Dog-friendly and interested in meeting other dogs
✅ No reported history of aggression
✅ No reported bite history

Fern will be visiting the veterinarian next week for a wellness examination and to receive her vaccinations, helping ensure she’s ready for a fresh start with her new family.

Fern is looking for a home that can provide her with guidance, exercise, and plenty of companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal friend with lots of love to give, Fern may be the perfect match.

Meet Dex!

For the past 5 months, Dex has been patiently waiting for someone to see just how special he is. While many dogs have come and gone, this handsome boy is still searching for the family he can finally call his own.

Dex is an approximately 2–4 year old Lab-type male who is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and has recently been neutered. He is healthy, ready for his next chapter, and more than deserving of a fresh start.

Dex has a huge heart and an incredibly loving personality. He bonds closely with his people and wants nothing more than to be included in your day. Whether it’s a walk, a road trip, a game of fetch, or simply relaxing together, Dex is happiest when he’s by your side.

Some of Dex’s favourite things:
🐾 Playing fetch and with his toys
🐾 Going for walks and adventures
🐾 Car rides
🐾 Learning new things
🐾 Spending time with his people
🐾 Earning praise and treats

Dex is intelligent, eager to please, and highly trainable. He already knows basic commands and looks to his people for guidance and reassurance. With continued structure and positive reinforcement, he has the potential to become an incredible companion.

It was noted to us that Dex has walked well off leash and has walked alongside other dogs without issue. We are unsure how he is with cats, as that behaviour cannot be reliably assessed within the shelter environment. As with any new pet introduction, we recommend slow, supervised introductions and setting everyone up for success.

Because of how Dex was found, we are looking for a home that is committed to:

• Continued training and structure
• Clear boundaries and consistency
• Ongoing positive reinforcement training
• Daily exercise and mental stimulation
• A securely fenced yard

Dex forms strong bonds with his people and thrives when he has guidance, routine, and stability. With the right home, he is going to make an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

Five months is a long time for a dog to spend in a shelter. Every day, Dex continues to greet us with a wagging tail, hoping that today might finally be the day his family finds him.

Dex has recently been neutered and is currently recovering. He will be staying with us for approximately two more weeks while he completes his post-operative care, but we are actively accepting applications and would love to find his forever family before he’s ready to leave the shelter.

Meet Dex

This handsome Lab-type boy is still looking to find his forever home!
Dex is an intact male, age estimated around 2 years old and has been vaccinated and dewormed. He’s great with people, loves pets and cuddles, and is very patient and gentle with kids.

Dex has a big heart, a sharp mind. boundless energy, and a strong desire to please. He picks up commands quickly and is highly treat and praise motivated. He loves to fetch, run, play, and explore, and LOVES rides in the car. With a bit of training he could be the ideal family pet, adventuring companion

When he's not running and playing, Dex is a loving and affectionate companion. He bonds tightly to his people wants to stay close by
He has great ‘manners’ inside the house, and even when he gets into trouble you can tell he really WANTS to do the right thing

That said, in a new home environment we always recommend slow introductions to feline companions, as-well as leash walking until a bond is formed and familiarity is established. Luna is a 1-year-old loving, energetic dog with a big heart and an equally big personality. She thrives on connection and enjoys being engaged with the people around her.

Luna is looking for a home that can offer structure, consistency, and continued training. With a regular routine and a stable, caring environment.

we feel Luna will settle in well and continue to grow into a confident, well-balanced companion. She does best with someone who understands active dogs and is willing to put in the time to help her succeed.

She has received her vaccinations and dewormer, and is ready to start the next chapter of her life.

🏡 What Luna needs:
• A home committed to routine and training
• Someone confident with an energetic, active dog
• A family ready to invest time and care into building a strong bond

Luna can be vocal but she has been with us since late November of 2025, we feel once she has settled into a home with routine and training she will calm down.

🐶 Meet Zyla! 🐶

Zyla is an almost full-grown pup (about 9 months old), weighing in around 35 pounds and our vets don’t expect her to get much bigger. She’s already had her vaccinations and dewormer, and she’s officially ready to start the next chapter of her life.

This sweet girl is full of love, excitement, and personality. Zyla is still a work in progress, but she’s eager to learn and already knows how to sit on command. She’s energetic and playful, with a happy, bouncy spirit that would thrive in an active home.

Zyla gets along great with our other adoptable dog, Luna, and would do especially well in a home with a dog buddy to help burn off some of that puppy energy.

🏡 What Zyla needs:
• A fenced yard
• A home willing to continue her training
• Someone who can match her high-energy, fun-loving personality

A Mixed-Breed Lab Type Dog.

Looking for a gentle heart and a safe place to land

Lily was recently brought to us after what appears to have been a long period of wandering on her own. Because of that, she’s a little timid at first, but once she knows you’re kind, she sticks by your side like glue.

She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate, and you can tell she’s just looking for reassurance that she’s safe and that everything is going to be okay. Lily thrives on calm voices, patience, and quiet companionship — she’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be close.

🐾 Lily’s personality:
• Timid but very loving
• Loyal and people-focused
• Calm, gentle energy
• Does best with reassurance and routine

💉 Veterinary update:
Lily is heading in for her vaccinations tomorrow, and we’ll continue to make sure she gets everything she needs to start her next chapter healthy and happy.
