CRIME STOPPERS PAGE TO BE SHUT DOWN

Due to continued lack of volunteers in our community to assist with Crime Stoppers Terrace - Kitimat, a difficult decision was made to cease our SSL Domain License to use the name. Crime Stoppers Terrace - Kitimat will be shut down. All funds and transfers have been allocated to Northern BC Crime Stoppers that is located out of Prince George.

WANTED PERSON BY KITIMAT RCMP

File # 2021-1390

The Kitimat RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a woman wanted for failure to comply with a release order, robbery and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Carrie WEIR is described as:
- Indigenous female
- 18 years old
- 173 cm (5’8)
- 64 kg (141 lbs)
- Brown eyes
- Black Hair

If located, contact the RCMP. Do not confront Carrie WEIR.

24 July 2021: STOLEN FROM COPPER FLATS: It was last seen ~ 0600 hrs heading West to Prince Rupert. There is camo tape on the back left corner from top to bottom. RCMP have been notified.

STOLEN 13 July 2021 (Reported to RCMP): "I’m hoping to get back our Honda generator that was stolen out of the back of my husbands truck while he was inside the arena for 15 minutes this afternoon between 4:15-4:30 to get his vaccine. He busted a woman trying to run off with his tool case, and was able to stop her. Any tips appreciated. Will pay a reward. No questions asked."- Julia Hill Sorochan .

INFORMATION NEEDED BY POLICE for mischief to property investigation

File # 2021- 6272

On Sunday, July 11, 2021, police received a report of mischief to property at a local car dealership.

Sometime during the night, four vehicles were damaged as each one had one window smashed.

Nothing was noted to have been stolen from within any of the vehicles and police do not believe that theft was the motive.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying who may be responsible for this crime.
